How it works

Three steps. Nobody pays extra.

  1. List it free

    Snap a few photos, set your price and tag your team's code if you have one. Listing never costs anything.

  2. Sell it safely

    Buyers pay by card in the app. Payment is held until they confirm the gear arrived — no cash meetups.

  3. Your team gives back

    Founding partner teams get 5% of every completed sale for their first 12 months — out of our commission, not your payout. Other teams take part in give-back programs as they open.

We're signing up a small group of organizations as founding partners. We set your team up by hand and send your coach a Spurt Team Code — nothing to install, no account for the organization to manage. Your 12 months of 5% start the day that code is created.

How does the 5% reach a founding partner team?

Pick the team's code when you create a listing. When the item sells, 5% of the sale is credited to that founding partner team — for 12 months from the day its team code was created — at no extra cost to you, because it comes out of our commission, not your payout.

My team isn't a founding partner. Can we still take part?

Yes. When we run other fundraising and give-back programs, every team can take part. Each program asks teams to do something that helps the marketplace grow, and some have limited spots, filled first come, first served in the order teams sign up for that program. Founding partners are always included.

What does it cost?

Listing is free. When something sells, a 15% commission comes out of the sale — that's the whole fee (we never add a credit-card charge), and it's also where the founding partners' 5% comes from.
