Spend less on gear. Spend more on memories.

Youth sports has gotten expensive. Spurt helps families buy and sell the gear their kids outgrow with people nearby — so more of the season goes toward time together, not equipment.

Why Spurt exists

The marketplace isn't the mission. It's the tool.

Youth sports has become unaffordable for a lot of families — travel teams, private coaching, and gear that's outgrown before the season even ends. We built Spurt to help families spend less on gear so they can spend more on time and memories together.

Spurt is youth sports only, on purpose. Every listing is a family passing gear on to the next one, not a stranger flipping equipment for profit. We want buying and selling gear to feel like part of a team — families helping families stay in the game.

FAQ

Questions parents actually ask.

What if the gear isn't as described, or I need a return?

Email support@spurtsports.com and a real person will sort it out with you. Your payment is held until you confirm you've received the gear, so if something's wrong, tell us before you confirm — a refund at that point is straightforward. We review every case and handle the refund from our side.

How do I get paid as a seller?

Through Stripe, straight to your bank account. The buyer's payment is held while the gear changes hands and released to you when the buyer confirms receipt — or automatically 3 days after delivery.

Is it safe to meet someone?

The buyer pays in the app before the handoff, so no cash changes hands — and both sides are real, signed-in accounts. Meet somewhere public in the daytime; a practice field or a busy parking lot works well.

Can I ship instead of meeting up?

Yes. You mark the order shipped with a tracking number, and the same protection applies: the payment is released after the gear arrives.

How does the 5% reach my team?

Pick your team's code when you create a listing. When the item sells, 5% of the sale is credited to that team — at no extra cost to you, because it comes out of our commission, not your payout.

What does it cost?

Listing is free. When something sells, a 15% commission comes out of the sale — that's the whole fee (we never add a credit-card charge), and it's also where the 5% for teams comes from.

Why does my listing show on my Sell tab but not in the Shop feed?

Your Sell tab shows everything you've ever listed — drafts, active items, and gear that's already reserved or sold. The Shop feed only shows gear that's still available to buy, so once something sells (or is still a draft) it leaves the feed for buyers while staying on your Sell tab.
